Where Art Meets Tech: Stephanie Stampher Joins SoCreate’s UX Team

UX Developer Stephanie Stampher

It’s rare to meet someone who excels in both left and right-brained activities, but ladies and gentlemen, we’ve found ourselves that very combination in our newest team member, Stephanie Stampher.

Stephanie joined our UX Team just shy of the shelter-in-place orders in California due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that has not dimmed her light. She’s a cheery and dedicated addition to SoCreate, and her talents are many!

Stephanie went to college to earn an applied math degree, and she fell in love with coding during her required programming classes. She decided that she loved it so much that she enrolled in Fullstack Academy to study software engineering post-degree.

“While at Fullstack, I realized that I really loved front end development and the visual aspects of software development, and this is what lead me to pursue a career in UX development,” she said. “I have also always been an artist, and so I found that UX development allowed me to combine my technical and creative backgrounds quite well.”

And it just so happened that we needed this specific skillset, and Stephanie was looking for a company like SoCreate.

“I wanted to work for SoCreate because the people on the SoCreate team are really great,” she said. “Everyone is very helpful, talented, and smart. It is a wonderful team.”

And, coming from college in Los Angeles, it doesn’t hurt that SoCreate is located in San Luis Obispo County.

“I love living on the Central Coast because it is one of the most beautiful areas in California! There are so many great places in nature here to visit and hike. The people on the Central Coast are also so friendly,” she added.

In her free time, Stephanie likes to flex her right-brained powers, cooking, and creating art.

We’re looking forward to seeing her creativity flourish, and she said she’s looking forward to learning from our talented UX developers.

Welcome to the team,

The Fullstack program is competitive and intense, but Duncan is no stranger to these two adjectives. He’s been coding since he was a teenager and won 3 national championships with his BDPA (Black Data Processing Associates) chapter, all before he graduated high school. After studying mathematics and...

And we hear he’s pretty thrilled to be here, too. “There is a lot of industry knowledge on this team,” Grant said. “While I’m excited to contribute to it, I think I’m going to learn a ton.” Grant started on the path to software engineering about five years ago, as part of the web development program at Laurus College. Early on, he skinned websites for local businesses, before diving into full-stack development. Today, he still enjoys building...
